After the Golden Age by Carrie Vaughn

Interesting premise for a book.  Examining what it's like for a mundane to grow up the child of two super heroes.  Neat comic book vibe to the story, probably could have been a little grittier.  Likeable none the less.

Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

My rating: 4 of 5 stars


Well that was sad.  I'm still depressed about the turn of events and how the book ended.  Not saying it was bad, but WOW.  I'm going to miss the characters.  I'm sad to see this series end.

The Sugar Queen by Sarah Addison Allen

My rating: 3 of 5 stars


Definitely the more lighthearted and quirky read I needed after finishing Mockingjay.  But, not the best of Allen's books.  The story lacked some of the 'mystique' of her previous books and wasn't as 'comforting' as her other books.  Still enjoyable nonetheless.
